It is always a wonderful pleasure to see the first color on the trees show up after a long winter here on the prairies. I can't help but bring my camera every time we are out to get some shots of the blooming pussy willows, when they start turning yellow. The grass is still dry and brown, there is not even a hint of foliage to come, but we are given the first glimpse of the change to come. With great impatience I always look for buds on the trees and shrubs and follow their progress while they are getting fatter and fatter. Anything that is green brings me so much pleasure to see. I know it is much greener now and we get all the cherry trees starting to finally bloom in pinks and whites but, I think, I'll always be drawn more to those first heralds of spring...
