Can't Wait!

The snow is mostly gone, here on the prairies, but it will be some weeks before we see greenery and flowers blooming. I can’t wait! It has been a long winter and I sure could use a bit of color. Late spring or early summer images are great for it because all is fresh and green is bright and not dimmed by dust of late summer days.

We are lucky here in Alberta, because some nights are full of light show. We had a couple of gorgeous Aurora showing last fall and I have managed to capture some shots without leaving the city.

I know, I know it is winter and everybody posts winter photography, but I am not ready for it yet. I see it outside my window every day, so I want to see something warm, colorful and pretty. Hope you are in need of this as well.

How Summer Began

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything about Elk Island National Park. So, I think, it is time for some lovely sunset from the beginning of summer, when all was green, flowers were blooming and days were warm and long.

Quite a while ago, I had another great opportunity to photograph a very lovely mom.  She said she was doing the boudoir photography as a gift, but I have a suspicion that it was also a wonderful ego boost.  She allowed me to post a few images from this great session.  I have to say though, that nothing can substitute the look on her face when she saw the finished images.  I'm very glad I was able to capture these for her.  Enjoy. Denver - Harper Part 1

During the last day of my stay in Denver, I met up with Harper Wesley.  She is also a local model, that agreed to a boudoir photo session.  Since I did not have any other appointments that day, we shot a little longer than the first shoot with Kari.  Harper was wonderful to work with, easy going and professional.  She knew what she was doing, making my job so much easier.  There are many images of Harper that I manage to capture, so this is going to be a 3 part series.  Enjoy. Mysteries in the key of W. Part 1

This past weekend ended with a huge surprise.  My wife's friend decided that she wanted a quick boudoir session done for her husband's birthday.  Luckily I had all my gear charged and ready to go.... quick call to another friend to watch the kiddies for a couple of hours and off we went. W

It was first time my wife was assisting me, and I was amazed how well she got into the groove of things.  She was really good at directing the shoot.  Ended up with lots of lovely photos, that my wife's friend was really happy with.  I even got permission to post a few here on the blog.  Good thing is her husband and computers do not mix very well.  Now the book is ordered and will hopefully be nice surprise for her man.  Here is a selection from that session that I was permitted to post.  Enjoy.
