We are lucky here in Alberta, because some nights are full of light show. We had a couple of gorgeous Aurora showing last fall and I have managed to capture some shots without leaving the city.

A Little Night Photography
Welcoming the Day..
It is a bit nasty outside today, so it's not a huge surprise I have turned to pictures, I have taken during our early morning trip to Rundle Park, here in Edmonton's River Valley. I can't believe it has been a month since we have visited, though the world looks much changed from that morning. We have lost all that brilliant foliage that was covering all the trees, glowing beautifully in sunrise light..
Early Spring At Elk Island
Here in Alberta, we suffer quite a delay when it comes to arrival of spring. Even if we lose all the snow for a bit, we usually get another dump or two in late March, beginning of April, accompanied by quite a drop in temperatures as well. Winter does feel long here on the prairies. It is hard to stay put for such a long time and I drag Mac, quite often, out of the city, even if it is only for a short trip to Elk Island National Park.

From Abraham Lake to Banff - a Short Winter Ride Through the Rockies
You never know what weather you encounter when you go to the mountains. Winter, especially, is the time when you need some caution, while planning any trip and sometimes you need to adjust your plans accordingly. Originally we have planned to come back from Abraham Lake through Jasper, but because of road conditions we have decided to take the road to Banff instead
Brilliant Morning in the Rockies
Our latest trip to the Rockies was very successful. Not only did we get good conditions for Abraham Lake ( Abraham Lake with Fuji and Film ) but the rest of the day was full of wonderful views. When sun rose high enough to illuminate the world we have been given a chance to experience magic. And if you see magic, you better make sure you take pictures of it, right?! Well, we did...
Are Winter Sunrises Easy?
It is so much easier to wake up for a sunrise trip out of the city this time of year. The only problem is, there is not always a good weather for photography. In Alberta, we are blessed quite often with cloudless sky and very cold weather, which, as any of you, who practice landscape photography know, does not make good conditions for interesting shots. There is also the issue of road conditions, which can be problematic at the least and the cold itself.
A Year With Fuji - My Favorites Of 2016
I set myself a task of choosing my favorite photos of the past year. I've never done it before so, optimistically, I was hoping to pick only a few, but the deeper I went into my files the more and more I added to the collection. I, honestly, don't know how to visit a location and take one, maybe two pictures and leave. There are way too many compositions to chose from and each and every one has something unique to offer.

From Home - Poland With Fuji
When I go home for a visit, pictures are the last thing on my mind, most of the time. There are, simply, too many people to see to find a moment to appreciate anything else. This time around, however, I made sure I found a few moments to go out and see some new and old places and took as many pictures as possible.
