A new building and a new name.  Art Gallery of Alberta used to be called Edmonton Art Gallery.  The new building was designed by Randall Stout Architects and it finally opened in January of 2010.  It is a very strange building, and definitely a sight to behold.  There are divided opinion on the building, personally I like it.  It definitely is very photogenic.  Here are some examples. Enjoy. AGA

Pictures from Edmonton

These couple of pictures where taken on an outing around Edmonton. Since it was cloudy and scattered rain fell from time to time, I decided to turn off most of the colors in them. Here is a view of Edmonton and the North Saskatchewan river. The taller buildings in the distance are part of the University of Alberta.
