Happy Halloween!!!

I know it's cold and snowy out there... Perhaps not the best weather to go out and enjoy Halloween decorations around the town, but it still can be fun if we bundle up and move fast enough through the neighborhoods ;D.  Some people think it's only fun for kids, but honestly, I've always enjoyed all the goblins, ghosts and super heroes coming for candy to my door and, whenever I'm out, I love to admire people's creativity in creating scary ambiance for visiting kids!! So go out there and enjoy!!!  Hope you have a safe and entertaining Halloween everybody!! Kasia

Halloween at the Sokulski house it's always a fun event.   A week before we decorate the house, then a day before we carve the brains out of the pumpkins.  As the kids are growing they are taking a more active role in the preparations.... although I cannot get them to watch a really scary movie with me yet.  The older one just got back.... he went with his friends, because his younger brother and dad are not cool enough anymore :) ..... yes getting old.....

Halloween

Finally Sebastian got his wish, and was able to put his costume to good use.  It was fairly warm night for trick or treating, and both kids were very excited.  This year though, I decided not to take my camera with me, just dress up and enjoy the time with the kids.  It was fun.  A lot of fun.  Both of them were practically running from house to house, I hard a time keeping up at times as my gas mask was fogging up.  Yep, I picked a perfect costume for this year.  A few years ago, a very good friend of mine ordered a Russian military HAZMAT suit for himself.  I did not ask why, (he said something about scaring his neighbours).  It came in handy.  Every comment I received from adults on the streets was about H1N1, and the other kids were really scared.  After about 40 min of walking (running), my kids had their bags full of loot, and decided to go home.  It really was a great time.... Here are some shots of me in my HAZMAT suit....

Getting ready for Halloween

My youngest decides that a week before Halloween he's ready to go trick or treating.  It was very hard to convince him that it wasn't time yet.  The concept of a week was an abstract notion to him, and it would usually last anywhere from 5 min to 15 min, before he would start asking again.  He spent almost a whole week running around in his Spiderman costume.  I managed to get some shots of him during that week, and here they are.  Enjoy.
