Art on the streets

During our visit to the market, we walked around the Whyte Ave, which I think is the only avenue in Edmonton that actually has any pedestrian traffic.  It's always jammed up with people. No surprise, when you have cafes, open style restaurants, bars, and vendors (mostly art) lining the avenue.  Since I was hip shooting, I did manage to capture some vendor's art.  Enjoy. Art of Iron

Painting with Light

Saturday morning, and for some reason I could not sleep.  So instead of tossing and turning I got dressed and went for a little drive to Wabamum Lake.  Well 80km one way is a little drive in Alberta standards.  I had no plans for a shoot... just something ad hoc.  Since it was still dark at 5am in the morning, I decided to try some light painting. Basically you set the shutter speed to anything about 1 sec.  Then you move the camera while the shutter is open.  This creates some interesting results.  Here are some that I think came out quite well.  Enjoy!
