Trains… I like trains. I have traveled using trains a lot, when I was growing up. They took me to visit family, for a trip to a forest, abroad.. Europe is full of trains… Every time I visit I try to take a train ride. Here in Alberta, I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to use trains, other than in a museum or a historical park. I do it whenever I can, but I’ve never had a chance to , actually, drive a train before. During our visit to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park , just off Sea to Sky Highway we were lucky to encounter two wonderful gentlemen who were in a process of repairing a train engine and were just about done. Learning about my fondness for the engines they let me start one, for testing purposes and let me move it a bit. It was only a few meters and under supervision, but it was the coolest thing ever!
