Things to Come

Spring is taking its sweet time to come this year.  Things are barely starting to move along and I am waiting very impatiently for the Nature to fully wake up and start working on the colors.. Good thing I was able to take quite a few shots of the blooming trees and buzzing bees (and other insects finding refuge among those blooms, as well as little droplets of water hiding among foliage - you know, I cannot resist these ;D) last year so that I can look at them now in order to help me survive till such time comes again.. I would like to share some of these with you now in hope, they will bring you as much pleasure as they bring me. Enjoy! :D Kasia

Colours of summer past...

This winter has been dragging it's feet, and specially this month of January has been pretty drab, and black & white.  Haven't seen a lot of sun or blue sky this month, so I want to add some colour to the blog right now.  These are photos taken last summer during various outings in Edmonton.  As you can see, we can have some colour in the summer time.  Enjoy! Bee or not to bee

Found this guy sitting on our screen door one day.  He wasn't moving.  I thought to myself, finally a perfect macro subject, but had to run to work.  When I came back, he was still sitting there.  I think he moved an inch.  Once I enter my home, I promptly forgot about the bee on the screen door, until the next morning.  He was still sitting on our screen door.  I gently moved him from the screen door to the door step to get a better angle.  All this time he wasn't very active. All this time I just kept shooting.

At the end of our little photo session, I gathered him up on a leaf and set him on a flower.  I never saw him again.
