Early morning. Hordes of mosquitoes, tall wet grass, and me, frolicking with my Fuji X-Pro1 camera and a Fuji 10-24mm lens, trying to get a good angle on a beautiful Alberta sunrise. I stopped on the highway near the back of Villeneuve airport, trying the catch the Boing 737 parked there in the middle of a canola field. I really like the juxtaposition of a big passenger jet just sitting there in a farmer's field.
A simple portrait session
Hastings Lake Sunset - Landscape Photography
Our little evening outing culminated at the Hastings Lake. We have never been there before, so a perfect ending to a great drive through unknown Alberta roads :) The first thing we have noticed were hoards of flying insects.

Fuji in Europe Part 26 - The streets of Bamberg.
From the hill where the Altenburg Castle is located, it's a short drive the town of Bamberg. As mentioned in the previous post, it's a very old city, and very beautiful. Walking around the streets on a beautiful sunday afternoon, there are lots of people relaxing, and enjoying the views.
Sensual Portrait of a Girl in the Rain
This idea came from another photographer, and it didn't exactly go as planned :) I don't mind. I was there shooting just for the fun of it. Location wasn't what the other photographer envisioned either. The whole set up was going to be "sad girl in the rain".... it didn't rain that morning. Since we needed water, and at the original location access to water was difficult, we changed it to my back yard. We simulated the rain with a hose.... needless to say, my wife got almost as wet as the Girl in the Rain. It was a cold morning as well, so this took a few tries, as the poor, brave Brittany faced the cold weather and cold water. I was shooting with both the Fuji X-Pro1 and the Sony NEX-7. Today I only shoot with these two cameras. They are both great for weddings, engagements, portraits , landscape .... you name it. They are small, light, and portable, and don't attract too much attention. I highly, highly recommend both of these cameras. Here are some images from the session in the "rain", where sad, turned to sensual. Enjoy!

Portrait of a Photographer ... part 2
Shooting portraits, I like to mix things up a little bit. Tilt-shift lens, a fan, and a different colored background light. I really like how these images turned out, even though, the tilt-shift lens is manual focus, and the fan had no base, so I had to hold it with my legs. I really like the red light peeking through her hair... enjoy! Mac
Portraits of a Photographer ... part 1
Olivia is one of these photographers that has a tons of talent, and personality, but also looks wonderful in front of the camera. I've shot with Olivia a few times, and even was honored to do her family photography . So it's always a pleasure to be the one behind the camera shooting her. Enjoy! Mac
Olivia
I was cleaning my 2011 Lightroom catalog, and run into a few straglers that must have slipped through the cracks. I couldn't leave them alone, it would be a big shame to just leave them. This is Olivia Kovios who not only is a really great behind the camera, she is stunning in front. I met up with Olivia on a shoot with Randy Pond Photography. Enjoy! Mac
