leaves

They are just leaves!

You'll ask perhaps, what so special about leaves? Well, I miss them terribly right now!  I cannot wait to see them sprouting all around us in all their magnificent shapes, sizes and colours! And what a difference they make to our cities and country! They are ignored most of the time, because they are just there, but it makes such a difference when they are gone in winter.  Here is a few photos of these under appreciated little things that I adore, no matter if it is spring, summer or fall!  Here is hoping they are going to show up soon!! Look down...closely

On a recent walk with my family, on the trails surrounding the Pigeon Lake Provincial park, I decided to look down, and see what can be seen.  You would be surprised to see what happens around your feet, when walking on a trail in forest.  This time the spiders weaving their webs, were largely predominant.  Also they are usually very patient posers, and will happily pose, and smile just so I could get a decent shot of them.  Also the dappled light on the forest floor paints wonderful light designs.  So next time you go for a walk, try looking down.  You might find something interesting to photograph. Fall with the Family

We were  quite lucky this year.  We actually had a very warm and beautiful fall.  Best of it was that we were able to go out a few times and enjoy it as a family.  Right now when the cold of winter is snapping at you when ever you go, it is so nice to sit down with a warm cup of tea, and remember the beauty of the world, the sound of laughter, and the warmth of the sun.  Enjoy.
