Lady and a Fedora

In the past few weeks, I've been involved in another, as I like to call them, Randy-thon.  Randy Pond hosts these little gatherings in his studio in Vegreville.  Those are a lot of fun, with a couple of models, trying out different poses, clothes etc, loud music, and lots of laughs.  As photographers, we usually try new things with lights, angles, and share tips. This time the theme of the Randy-thon, was "Sexy".  So for the next little while I'll be posting images from that gathering, hope you don't mind :)  I was playing with my 90mm tilt-shift, and my Fuji X100.  I was really surprised on how good the Fuji X100 worked with Pocket Wizards and different lights.  So lets start with a Lady and a Fedora. Enjoy!

Here is the last of the the Christmas Boudoir shot on location at my good friend, Randy Pond's, studio.  The model was the fabulous Jenna, and I have to say this was an awesome session.  Now I can't wait what the New Year will bring.  Enjoy.

Aah those Russians... - Part 1

I had a wonderful experience of photographing one of the most interesting models I've ever worked with. I don't know if being Russian has anything to do with it, but the flare and energy during the shoot was quite amazing. I ended up with a lot of good shots, and picking the best to show off on the blog was not easy. So sit back, and enjoy! Tanya

Even Jedi love Pilsner

A while back I was invited by my good friend and pal Randy Pond, to do some test shoots at his studio.  At first we tried a Star Wars theme, and I think that Keren Sorensen looks the part in this black outfit.  The picture with the Pilsner is one of Keren's trademarks.  Out of every photo shoot she always has at least one picture with a can or bottle of Pilsner.  Enjoy. Jenn Studio Shoot

I had another privilege to work with Jenn. This time it was in my little studio. We had a good few hours of fun. I think she did a great job on her make up, which shows another talent. This three shots are just the beginning. I have "tons" from this shoot, which I will be posting as soon as I finish processing. Enjoy.

Miss C. Photo shoot

It did not go as planned. Why? Oh because of the twit behind the camera that's why. All I can say, is that I need to really learn this "studio" work. Studio being inside, with limited lights. I borrowed friend's Canon Speedlite 580 strobe, so I could master it with my Speedlite 430. I had one reflector, but had no idea what to do with it. All in all I realized that I need to read up a little more before attempting such a feat. I managed to get 4 fairly good shots, but nothing that I was planning. Live and learn I guess. Thoughts?
