Visiting Calgary gives us an opportunity for a short trip to the Rockies. If we have a few hours and the weather is cooperating, we often take our cameras and go out and explore. After all, it’s only a little over an hour drive from the city. Last September (I can’t believe it has almost been a year, already!), we have managed one such trip. It was great to escape to the wilderness and go for an adventure. It was a bit too early in the season for the fall colors but some of the trees and shrubs were already turning yellow and orange, giving a great contrast to the heavy clouds in the sky.
