In recent years we have had many days in summer when the skies were covered with heavy haze. In most cases the smoke is high enough in the air that it does not bother me too much. Today, unfortunately, is not such a day. The smoke smell is quite pronounced and it is not recommended to be outside for prolonged time. The sky is dark and one cannot even see the sun. Since I’m sitting at home, escaping smoke, I might as well spend this time productively and what is better than working on pictures from our most recent trip to the mountains?

One never knows what weather one will encounter while visiting Rockies no matter what time of year. This past April we have had a wonderful sunny skies and almost no snow on lower elevations. Thanks to this I could take my time exploring and photographing a lot of other things as well as landscapes and today, I will share some these shots. Enjoy!
