Happy Halloween!!!

I know it's cold and snowy out there... Perhaps not the best weather to go out and enjoy Halloween decorations around the town, but it still can be fun if we bundle up and move fast enough through the neighborhoods ;D.  Some people think it's only fun for kids, but honestly, I've always enjoyed all the goblins, ghosts and super heroes coming for candy to my door and, whenever I'm out, I love to admire people's creativity in creating scary ambiance for visiting kids!! So go out there and enjoy!!!  Hope you have a safe and entertaining Halloween everybody!! Kasia

Missing the Beach - When the Weather Turns Cold

It's been rather chilly outside lately and my thoughts are drawn to the memories of Spain and beach, hot sun and waves.. I have been slowly going through some more photos from our April trip to Spain (I did bring a couple of thousand of them back, after all...) and I thought I'd share some of the images of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and the beach in Almerimar, where we've spent some time enjoying the sun, waves and pebbles, not mentioning a beautiful sunset. So here they are, with my hope that they'll warm all of us up just a bit ;D.  Enjoy! Kasia

Dream Chaser

I saw it first about a week ago, when I drove in the morning to get some coffee. I was so disappointed that I did not take my camera with me.. The next day it was there again, low flying, getting ready for landing, but I still did not have a camera, thinking that, for sure, it wouldn't be there again... So for the reminder of the week I was carrying my little Panasonic with me every morning.  And, of course, it was nowhere to be seen!!!  Finally on Friday it was there again!!! The hot air balloon, flying low on the beautifully blue morning sky just ready to be photographed.  And this time I came prepared!!! :D  I knew it was going to land somewhere close so I have decided to chase after it.  Here is a few shots from it's flight through the city and on the outskirts.

I've chased it a long time hoping to find a clearing to properly see it landing, but unfortunately it landed behind some trees in a field away from the road I was following.. Oh, well! Perhaps next time?! ;D

I have always loved seeing them flying high up in the sky and always wanted a trip in one of them... I haven't been so lucky yet, but it's all right. What would we be without dreams to chase after?!!  Hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend!!

Families Part 1

A good friend of mine asked me one day if I would be willing to take some photos of his family.  I jumped at the opportunity.  For months we were trying to schedule an outing, and finally  a few weeks ago we found a nice saturday morning.  Actually he managed to ask his sister-in-law and her family to join in the festivities.  So now I had two families to shoot, at the same time.  At first I thought it would be challenging, but everyone was quite at ease, and halfway into the shoot they were coming up with their own ideas which made my work considerably easier.  For the next several posts I'll be showcasing their photos.  Enjoy.
