Over the years we have travelled a few times to Alberta badlands. It is always an interesting trip. The landscape is so different there, comparing to the standard prairies / Rockies and there is always an abundance of photographic subjects. From out-of-this-world rock formations to interesting flora, patterns on the ground, carved by water flowing down after the rains, people, animals... If you are lucky, the sky cooperates
Summer Visit to Badlands
Out Of This World - Alberta Landscape Photography
During our short week in Southern Alberta we have managed a day trip to Dinosaur Provincial Park, where you can become a paleontologist for a day and stumble upon a dinosaur bone, slip on a fine mud (after a rainy couple of days), be eaten by monster mosquito and enjoy a landscape that is out of this world...
Drumheller - The Last Part: The Museum
The trip to Drumheller would not be complete with out a visit to the Royal Tyrrell Museum. You could easily spend good half a day there, just taking in all the sights and sounds. It has a lot to offer, and kids won't get bored. Here are some photos from inside. Enjoy!
Drumheller - Part 3: Landscape
The landscape around Drumheller is really one of a kind. It's mostly barren, almost desert like. We managed to climb one of those hills, giving us a much better view of the area. No wonder these are called the bad lands. Enjoy.
Drumheller - Part 2: Portraits
Here is the continuation of our little escapade to the Dino-land. This time it's the just us in the pictures. Enjoy!
Drumheller - Part 1
Last weekend the whole family decided that we all need to go for a little day trip. After this long winter, it was necessary. So we decided that we haven't seen the heart of Alberta's dinosaur graveyard in a very long time. Walk up in the early morning, packed lunch, and off we went to Drumheller. Enjoy part one of the series.
