Before this blog is going to be over run with images of Scottish and Polish landscapes, I thought I might squeeze in a few pictures from a memorable outing not too long ago. As always on our little excursions, we just picked a back road that looked interesting and started driving.

Roads through the mountains - Alberta Rockies
After leaving the bubbles of Abraham Lake behind, we plunged into the no-man's lands of Alberta Rockies. This early in the morning the roads were empty. Lack of traffic allowed us to stop frequently and admire the rugged beauty of the Alberta landscape.
Abraham lake with Fuji and film - Alberta Landscape
After seeing amazing photos of Abraham lake in winter, we wanted to see it for ourselves. These photographs are pretty common, as the area is beautiful, and Abraham lake, being man made, exhibits methane bubbles which get trapped in ice. These, and sunrise in the Rocky mountains is a recipe for beautiful images.

Memories of Summer Sunset, an experiment with Fuji
After a brief moment of spring, winter has returned to our corner of the world. Snow is back on the ground that temperatures are back to normal. With fond memories I was looking through my back catalog of images taken in 2015. All those little trips we have taken, getting lost in the back roads of Alberta.
Winter Scenes 2
It's back to winter here on the Alberta prairies. Our beautiful spring weather from last week has changed and today we were greeted by freezing wind that feels like -21oC.. Brrr!!! But, that's OK, because it is the last day of February and spring is very close now. In the meantime lets concentrate on some more beautiful winter scenes...

Day and Night on Long Island
After a tiring yet wonderful walk around Manhattan and Central Park, and a beautiful sunrise on the beach, our host, Dominick Chiuchiolo, took us for a little drive on Long Island.

After a busy time of Christmas preparations, we finally have some time to continue with our New York trip. We already covered our day in Manhattan and Central Park. Now it's time for what we love doing best.

Last Moments Of Fall
It must have been a murmur of falling snow that woke me up this morning way before 6AM. It wasn't a huge surprise, considering it is November and we have been snowed on earlier than that in previous years.. It is almost gone by now but, I know, we have only a couple of weeks left before it will be a full blown winter again and I am resigned to it, really... I am!
